N.Z. Fire-Shield Ltd is a division of John Herber Ltd which has over 25 years experience in the manufacturing of theatre draperies. John Herber Ltd recognised the ever increasing need and demand for a quality fire retardant product and associated services.

After searching for and testing many products available we found a company who had everything we were looking for, A product that had been tested and proven in every possible way which has allowed it to be the only UL classified fire retardant available.

The service to back up the product, a professional approach and commitment to supply the absolute best fire retardant products and services available, this has been proven with their countless testimonials and government accreditations. After travelling to New York to meet the Patten holder and completing their intensive training and testing procedures N.Z. Fire-Shield was appointed the sole blending, application  and distribution agents for New Zealand and Australia. This now enables us to provide the same professional and quality driven approach to this industry.

N.Z. Fire-Shield can now take care of all your fire retardant needs, through our certified applicators we offer an on-site cleaning and re-fire proofing service with a certificate of compliance to show what relevant standard the products have been treated to, these certificates are valid for 5 years. Through our custom built data base we record all relevant information including product treated, location, square metres treated, and the amount of fire- retardant used and the date treated.

By collecting this information N.Z. Fire-Shield can ensure the correct application rates have been used to allow the product to conform to its relevant standard. Our data base also informs us of when your certificate of compliance is going to expire allow us to inform you well in advance that you will need to budget for and book a suitable time to maintain your fire retardant standard as required buy government regulations.
